About University: Tripura University(TU) started as a PG center of Calcutta University in 1976 which was then transformed into a state-run University in the year 1987, it became a full-fledged central University in 2007. The number of affiliated colleges at present is 46 among which there are 27 General Degree Colleges, 17 Professional Colleges, 4 Paramedical and Nursing Colleges, and 2 Medical Colleges. The University at present runs various programs under the Science, Arts & Commerce Faculty. Admission to Tripura University will start from May 2025* for session 2025-26. Tripura University admission for the 2025 session offer various courses at UG, PG and PhD level. Admission to UG programs at TU is done based on the Cut-off of CUET UG (Common University Entrance Test). CUET 2025 is expected to be conducted in May 2025*. - B.Voc: Students enrolled in the B.Voc program of the University have to pay a semester fee of INR 5500 along with INR 700 as the enrollment fee.
- BBA: Students pursuing a BBA from TU have to pay a semester fee of INR 30,500 along with a one-time enrollment fee of INR 1200.
- IMD: IMD stands for integrated master’s degree program, this program provides a degree for both UG and PG programs simultaneously. Students who are admitted into this program will have to pay a semester fee of INR 4500 besides the INR 700 as the enrollment charge.

Tripura University provides a wide variety of PG programs, with 20+ courses available for admission. Interested students must have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline. The University offers master’s across a variety of programs in streams like Liberal Studies, Business administration, psychology, English, and Economics amongst various others. The cut-off for PG courses is released based on scores obtained in the CUET PG examination. To secure admission to TU PG, candidates need to score above the minimum cut-off assigned by the university.

Tripura University Admission Process 2025-26
Applicants can apply for admission in the online format only, Students can apply for admission through entrance exams like the CUET UG and PG (Central University Entrance Test). Admission into bachelor’s courses is offered based on CUET UG scores, whereas for admission into the PG program, the student’s CUET PG and Graduation scores are taken into consideration.
