TNAU Admission 2025-26: Process, Last Date, Portal and Fees

TNAU Admission 2025-26: Submission of online application form at TNAU will be completely online based. University will soon start their admission procedure for session 2025-26. Students who are waiting to get enrolled at the university for any courses can submit their application form with the complete details through the official website. TNAU will not accept hardcopy of application form, all the admission of the university are done through their website. TANU offers various UG and PG courses such as B.Sc. (Hons.) in Agriculture, Tamil Medium Horticulture, Food, Nutrition & Dietetics, B.Tech in Agricultural Engineering, Food Technology, Biotechnology, Energy and Environmental Engineering,  M.Sc in Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Extension Education, MBA in Agri-Business Management, M.Tech in Farm Machinery and Power Engineering, Soil and Water Conservation Engineering, and more. These courses are offered to students who are interested in the field of agriculture. The last date for application submission is 15th May 2025*. The complete information related to the admission will be available on the university’s latest update portal. 

About University: The Tamil Nadu Agriculture University was established in 1868 in Madras Tamil Nadu state. In 1920 TNAU got affiliated with Madras University and took full responsibility for the agriculture and research department. TANU is a state Agriculture university that offers various undergraduate and postgraduate courses like BSc, Btech, MBA, MSc, and Mtech. The university also delivers PhD degrees to the various students in various agriculture fields. UGC has approved the university to be delivered in India. ICAR has also affiliated with the university to provide agriculture higher education courses. TNAU admission applications for various courses for the session 2025-26 will be available on the official website of the university soon. The university offers agriculture discipline-related courses at various levels like undergraduate, Postgraduate, and PhD. It is one the popular state universities that offers courses like B.Sc in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry,  Sericulture, Btech in Food Technology, Energy and Environmental Engineering, Agricultural Information Technology, M.Sc in Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Extension Education, Agronomy, Plant Physiology, Bioinformatics, MBA in Agri-Business Management, and more. Students can apply for these courses after completing their School education of class 12th in the science stream with mathematics majors. Interested students must apply early to secure their seats. Admission To the courses is based on the TNAU entrance examination. Students holding GAT-B scorecards are not required to appear for the entrance examination. The last date of registration is 15th May 2025* with a fee of INR 200 for general students and INR 100 for SC/ST. 

TNAU UG Admission 2025-26: 

Submission of the application form for the UG degree for session 2025-26 will start soon. University will the their application form on the official website of the university. Several courses offered by the university are B.Sc. in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Sericulture, Food, Nutrition, and Dietetics, B.Tech in Food Technology, (Energy and Environmental Engineering, Agricultural Information Technology, Biotechnology, and more. To apply for TNUA admission students must have passed all subjects of class 12th in the science stream of schooling from any known board like CBSE. Admission to any courses is based TNAU entrance examination. After exams selected students are required to appear for counseling in which they will get a lot of courses and college. Shortlisted students are required to submit the counseling fee of INR 3000 for General and INR 1500 for SC/ST. The application submission of TNUA admission for UG courses last date is 15th May 2025*. 

TNAU PG Admission 2025-26:

Admission forms for PG courses at the TNAU will appear soon for session 2025-26. Universoty offers PG courses in 33 disciplines. For new academic sessions, the university invites several new and existing students to pursue courses of their own choice. Several courses offered by university at the PG level are M.Sc in Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Extension Education, Plant Physiology, Agronomy, Soil Science, Environmental Science, Seed Science and Technology, MTech in Farm Machinery and Power, Renewable Energy Engineering, Soil and Water Conservation Engineering, MBA in Agri-Business Management, and more. Duration to complete these courses is 2 years with 4 semesters. TNAU admission to PG courses is set eligibility criteria for having a bachelor’s degree. PG cousres are offered under a choice based credit system. After applying for any courses students are required to appear for entrance examination TNUA admission EE. Students who have qualified for the GAT B test are not required to appear for the university admission test. At the time of admission, students can only apply for 3 subjects with separate form fees. The last date to submit the TNAU PG application form is 15th May 2025*. 

TNAU PhD Admission 2025-26: 

Tamil Nadu Agriculture University offers offers full-time regular courses at the research level. Admissions from another university for PhD courses are expected to start from the 1st of May 2025* for session 2025-26. The application form for the research level will be available on the office website of the university. Students are required to fill out the form with the correct details and select the subjects of research. Students need to complete their master’s degree in relevant topics of masters. TNAU admission is based on entrance examinations like TNAU  entrance test or NET. Date of entrance test and admit card will be provided after admission process ends. Some PhD courses are Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Extension Education, Agri-Business Management, Agronomy, Plant Physiology, Soil Science, Genetics and Plant Breeding, Plant Pathology, Nematology, and more. There are more than 28 topics available for research at PhD level. Application for the TNUA is INR 300 approx. Last date for submitting application form is 25th May 2025*.
