LLB Admission 2025: LLB is a 3 year program for students wants to pursue career in aspiring lawyers, legal professionals and judges. It is a undergraduate degree that is open to candidates who have done their graduation in any discipline and want to pursue law. It focuses on the field of law where a student learns various aspects of laws such as criminal law, corporate law, constitutional law or taxation. A candidate needs to pass entrance exams such as NLSAT-LLB, CLAT, AILETOR CUET. There are various top universities that offer a 3 year LLB  degree such as National School of law university(Bangalore), Symbiosis law school(pune), Rajiv Gandhi school of intellectual property law(Kharagpur) and many more. Admission for many law universities are still going on. The last date is 30th June 2025.

LLB Admission 2025-26:

Many Universities will take admission through CLAT, NLSAT-LLB or AILET (carried out by NLU, Bangalore). Their scores will be the selection criteria for different colleges. Many universities also accept CUET scores for admission. Earlier LSAT exam was also a part of admission process but from 2025 it has been discontinued by LSAC. Many private universities still have their application forms open till 30th June 2025 for the session 2025-28. You can apply on their respective websites for  proper information. 

LLB Eligibility Criteria:

Every university has their own eligibility criteria. Candidates are advised to go through the desired universities site for proper information.

  • Minimum qualification: A candidate must have completed one’s 10+2 education  or equivalent in any discipline from a recognised university. Students should have a bachelors degree in any subjects. 
  • Minimum percentage: A candidate must have an aggregate of 45% marks in his or her graduation.  
  • Age limit: There is no age limit for doing LLB.

LLB Course Syllabus 2025:

LLB is a 3 year program. In some universities it is divided into 6 semesters i.e. 2 semesters each year and in some universities it is divided into 9 trimesters. Each year has 3 trimesters and lasts around 12-13 weeks. Every trimester candidate learns different prospects of law and can choose electives based on their choice. Every university has a different total number of credits. STEP 1: Go to the desired website site and look for the eligibility criteria and documents required.

STEP  2: Click on apply now on the university page and it will take you to another page.

STEP 3: Register on the website after filling required information and it will help you create a student id and password.

STEP 4: Now select the desired course that you want to pursue and fill the required information.

STEP 5: Upload the scanned copies of required documents.

STEP 6: Now submit the application fee through UPI or card.

STEP 7: You will receive a confirmation mail or SMS on your registered email or phone number.

BCom Career opportunities:

After successfully completing LLB of 3 years a candidate can start practising law i.e. can become an advocate, legal journalist, legal analyst, teacher, & corporate lawyer. Students can take government exams like UPSC and can become a government officer. Students can also become a judge after passing the Judicial service examination(JSE) or Provincial civil service(PCS) judicial examination. They can also gain legal practice experience of around 10 years and can be recommended by the judgeship by the bar of council. Many students also prefer going for higher studies such as LLM or masters of law. LLM offers you to get deeper knowledge in a particular aspect of law.
