HPU Admission Criteria 2025-26:
Students before applying for their desired courses at Himachal Pradesh University admission 2025-26 must review the eligibility criteria specified by the university for admission. University has specifically mentioned that students are required to meet the eligibility criteria for their desired courses to acquire admission. If any students do not mee the guidelines their admission will get canceled. Below are some common eligibility criteria required by the university.
Undergraduate:
- Educational: students should have completed senior secondary education from a recognsied state of central board.
- Marks: Minimum percentage or CGPA secured by students with no compartment exam must be 50%.
- Age: University has set an age limit between 17 and 25 years age students can apply for bachelor courses.
- Entrance examination: To secure admission students must perform goof in the test conducted by the university. Minimum 50% marks in needed to secure admission.
Postgraduate:
- Educational degree: Students with bachelor’s degrees in any relevant courses they are further applying for. For the MSc course a BSc degree is needed.
- Marks: Students must have secured above 55% marks or CGPA from a recognised university. Students must have passed all their subjects.
- Entrance examination: University will conduct its own entrance exam for PG courses. Students have paper for the exam and secure a minimum of 60%.
Research Degree:
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have a Master’s degree or an equivalent qualification in the relevant field with at least 55% marks. The university requires 3 years bachelor’s degree and 2 years postgraduate degree.
- Entrance exam: To apply for the university PhD admission students have to qualify for the NET entrance examination.
- Marks: They must have secured a minimum of 60% marks in their entrance test.
- Interview: After the entrance exam, selected students may need to appear for an interview.
